Parking and Traffic information

  • Only staff and school busses are allowed beyond a certain point on Trainer Street. They have access to the turning circle and the lower parking area.  This is to allow for students to safely use the crosswalk and for busses to turn around.
  • Our Trainor Street entrance at the upper level is heavily used.  Please obey the signs for the safety of our Lakeview children.
  • In order to maintain a traffic safety program that is really effective, your cooperation and patience will be needed.  Our goal is safety for your children, not convenience and time-saving for parents.  You can help us promote our safety program by observing the following procedures.
  • Space has been provided for one way car traffic in the parking lot.
  • Only a left turn is permitted out of the parking lot.
  • Students who exit vehicles stopped in the middle of the street or driveway are in danger of being hit by the other traffic.
  •  Third grade parents- please drop your children off at the crosswalk drop off and not on Trainor Street.
  •  Fire lines and signs need to be observed on Trainor Street so a clear path can be provided in case of emergency.
  • When exiting the lower lot between 2:30 and 3:30, you must turn right and proceed up Constitution Avenue to Dupont Street.
  • Do not block the driveway leading to the loading platform.  This area must be accessible at all times, especially  in the event of an emergency.
  • Please obey the signage for busses especially before and after school.  Parking is not permitted at the front entrance (Constitution Ave.)  during this time.
  • Morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off for kindergarten students is permitted in the bus loading area.  The exception to this is on in-service days.
  • Have students enter or exit vehicles by the curb side doors only.
  •  If you need to park to watch your child enter the building, you are encouraged to use the Free Street lot or Ridley Avenue.
  •  Please be aware of your speed in the school zones.

Our common goal is safety for our children.  If we cooperate as a group of caring parents, we will meet our goal.
