Leedom Elementary School


Leedom Elementary School is one of seven elementary schools in the Ridley School District.  The school occupies approximately seven acres on Chester Pike in Ridley Park.  The original six classroom building was constructed in 1944.  Subsequent additions were made in 1951 and 1956.  In 1966 the most recent addition included a library, kindergarten classrooms and several auxiliary areas.
A spacious playgrounds is located in the rear of the building equipped with two sets of jungle gyms and an eight seat swing set.
Today, Leedom School educates close to 300 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
