The Ridley Teacher Induction program is designed to provide all teachers new to Ridley with support and resources to help them continue their professional development and growth as educators.  Each inductee is matched with a mentor teacher who will meet with the inductee on a regular basis throughout the year to review information.

Induction classes cover the following topics:

• Classroom management
• Cooperative Learning
• Teaching and Learning Strategies
• Standards Based Curriculum
• Technology Integration
• Special Education and Support Services

Inductees are required to a complete classroom trial application following each induction session.  They are also given an opportunity to observe veteran teachers.

Teachers receive a Certification of Completion at the  Inductee Graduation in June.  Completing an approved induction program is a requirement to earn permanent certification.
