Woodlyn Elementary School has consistently achieved adequate yearly progress as determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) until last year's target increase to 78% for math and 81% for reading. However under legislation from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Department of Education, Woodlyn Elementary School is now defined as "low achieving."
